I still remember that i was in 9^th standard then ,when the first mall called “WAVE” was inaugurated in my city “LUCKNOW” and my father who has a great  interest in taking our entire family for an outing every weekend took us there like every other weekend.

The evening that came, proved to be a boon for me and of course for my mother. I was a kind of child who never liked food .Whatever i used to eat was just to make my mother satisfy that i will not starve due to hunger and not a sign of weakness  will be seen in my body due to lesser intake of nutritious diet .” Never a food item got a luck to be one of my favourites till that day”, but my friends as it is said that “MIRACLES DO HAPPEN IN LIFE”, so such a thing happened in my life too, and it not only increased my appetite but also  made “taste” my “life”.

Just as we entered inside the mall, the aroma of something formed its clouds around my nose. It was a great rush there. Daddy bought veg burgers for all of us which i didn't like much . There was something inside the mall that was attracting my nose  and hence my stomach towards itself . Burgers were then followed by momos which i didn't even taste due to its stuffing of green  vegetables that reminded me of the green grass on my school's playground which the students were made to clear in the physical training period ,and was then given to the cows nearby to eat .

Just after a few minutes someone came next to the bench on which i was sitting with a cup of something in his hands and amazingly it was the same smell. It was a cup of American Corns. I asked my daddy to bring it for me and the juices in it ,the taste of lemon and corns along with rich spices and its aroma added spices to my life too. Since then i started loving spicy and juicy food and corns that i never used to touch even before, got the the lucky charm of being one of my favourites. One question i had is " How long to boil corn ? " After that day i not only learned how to eat corns but also how to boil them and how to prepare them to eat.

Boiling of corns is a very easy task. What you need to do is to remove all the coverings (husk) and silky hair from the corn and make the water boil in a large pot. Boiling of water takes lesser time in cooking the corn pieces fully as compared to cooking in cold water. Now the corn is to be boiled by putting it into the boiling water and covering the pot with its top lid. Its just a matter of 5-7 minutes and the corns come out to be very soft. Add lemon juice, pepper powder, red chiili powder and salt to taste to the corns and they are now  ready to eat. This liking of mine not only made me a foodie but also made me famous for my corns in my colony.
